Biotech Santé Bretagne works on digital health market access in Europe

Biotech Santé Bretagne (BSB) is positioning Bretagne at the heart of several European projects, including the interreg DigiH4A (Digital Health for All) project, which aims to facilitate the widespread adoption of digital health in Europe. As a partner, we took part in a project meeting in Hamburg (Germany) in June.

During the meeting, the project partners shared their work in progress. They focused on several digital solutions for managing chronic diseases such as heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), back pain and mental health.

The aim of the work in progress is to compare and analyse three issues in the countries of the North Sea area:

  • Sustainable reimbursement models for digital health solutions;
  • Market access for digital health solutions by taking stock of market access conditions in the partner countries and interviewing innovative companies about their experiences in France and abroad. The aim is to identify the difficulties encountered, good practice and practical recommendations for companies. The Breton company Biosency was interviewed to share its experience of internationalisation as an innovative company in the field of COPD. Biotech Santé Bretagne is coordinating this action and will deliver a comparative report in September 2025;
  • Cost/benefit analysis methods for digital health solutions in the partner countries of the DigiH4A project. The aim is to see whether these models can provide inspiration for other countries.

During their meeting in Germany, the DigiH4A project partners were able to visit the Hamburg-Eppendorf university hospital and discover digital health solutions developed by German companies.
